New to this forum and just started on the podcast. Grew up riding all the So Cal deserts and with age came a cage. Sold my old JKU a couple years back and picked up a ‘75 CJ6 that I’m going to build similar to the UACJ6D from the 2017 Ultimate Adventure. In the process of accumulating parts as spare change will allow having a wife and two kids. When I start the build I’ll make sure to post a thread on here. Basic mechanical and welding skills and this is going to be my first ground up build. Also throwing the idea of selling my diesel pusher to build a crawler hauler but that is on the back burner currently

i would be more into a rustic old jeep than a slick fighter jet style of now days....
Yeah I’ve wanted a CJ6 since I was a kid watching Rick Russell videos. Granted I’m going to put in on a 2 door JK frame so it’s going to be a CJ in body and title only lol

Believe me I love it to death and originally I thought I would build off the factory frame but when I started examining the frame and comparing what it would cost me in time and everything else I decided to go the wolf in sheep’s clothing route. My old group of wheeling and camping buddies all moved away and the new group I’m going to be going with 37’s are the smallest tire in the group.
