Help Needed - Ignored Cab Mounts & Destroyed Cab Sheet Metal Mounts

So I did a stupid thing and ran my truck with stock rubber body mounts since I bought the truck caged which has lead to movement and ultimately failing sheet metal mounts for the cab. I tried to do some gusseting but the sheet metal is thin, tough to prep, and has me thinking this will be a temporary fix.

Was thinking of maybe making new standoffs from the frame and adding 2” square tubing om top of the new steel body mount but figured someone may have solved this problem already.

Thanks in advance.

Andrew

Is the cage not tied to the sheet metal? I don’t even have can mounts on my truck. Cab strictly hangs from the cage.

A pillar is tied in above dash to roof. B pillar is tied at roof due to super cab door. C pillar/back has tie ins to cage roof and rear of cab. Main hoop tied into cab roof.

Issue is the front rubber mounts allowed cab to move which lead to a broken mount on each side. This allows movement of cab below tie ins which has lead to broken fiberglass and brake booster/master (mounted to firewall) contacting engine cage.

You can take the plastic body lift blocks and cut them down to fit in the space for an economical way to get rid of the rubber cab mounts.
The exact problem is at the firewall of the cab where the truck has an extra amount of flex so I just run more tubing through the dash and “X” up at the that position.

Thanks Geoff good to know for future builds and if I decide to pull the stock dash when I motor swap.

I went with some solid metal that I had cut out by Send Cut Send which I hope alleviates some movement.
