Going Away Trip

[Adventure Endeavor]

Hey guys! Many of you on this forum know that Melissa and I have been fulltime RVers for 4 years now. We always try to get together when we are in Southern California, unfortunately, we are always super busy and don't get to see everyone. We are heading back out on the road for an extended period and decided to plan a family-friendly trip to the desert as we shove off. We will be there with the truck, trailer and the Jeep.

March 30th-April 2nd. (We may be there for 2 weeks)

Good times this weekend. We made a last min decision to load up and roll out for this
Hit the Pike Friday around 4 30

The 4runner needs a new clutch but figured it would be okay just cruising around to check out a few mins nearby camp...

We set out Saturday Morning for Robber Rooster which per Wikipedia was a hang-out for bad guys back in the day they would watch for stagecoaches coming across the desert. It now also a birds or prey sanctuary from feb 1 to July 1 its closed off to vehicle traffic.

All good we pressed on to a mine way back behind Indian Wells Brewery. Owens Peak.

Views didn't disappoint.

We loaded the kids back up and pressed on. to meet up with the rest of the group.

Of course, taking every stupid line possible while @the_fablab_ was cruising behind slow in his stock ranger. I began to chirp him about the 4 ft ravine on the right.. . just then the ground gave way and we were in said ravine. I tried to jump out real quick to lock the hubs so Mikey wouldnt see me haha it was too late I saw that shit box round the corner with his ear to ear grin... haha

Put her in low and walked right on out. ha good times. We met up with the rest of the group at the mine

tons of rad stuff to scope out.

Creek was flowing pretty well. Pretty rad to see. What wasn't cool was all the beer cans and other garbage so I walked back down to the truck and go the trasharoo. Ended up filling it about 3/4 of the way full

All this old hardware was cool to see

Elliot did a great job summing up the weekend. It was so great to have friends join us for our first weekend back on the road.

Hard parked at the Magnolia mine, west of Indian Wells Brewery. The next day we went back to Holy Ash.
