F150 LS CONVERSION?

Hey guys. Im debating on buying an OBS f150 that has a blown 5.8
I was debating on rebuilding it or maybe doing a 6.0 LS swap with a stage 2 cam. The f150 is 4wd with a 4406 warner t-case and a 58659 automatic tranny. How hard would the swap be? painless wiring kits available? would my gauges work? windshield wipers? ecu? what would i do for the transfer case? Thanks.

Does it have a 351? If so I’d put a little money into that. For the cost of the swap (not counting the cost of the actual 6.0 engine and trans) you could make that 351 make a lot more power than a mild 6.0 will make.
Your gauges won’t work so you’ll need new ones.

Your bcm can remain so your wipers and windows work

Its efi so i figure its a lil newer than a 351. The guy says theres a hole in the oil pan so i figure the top end at least will need a rebuild. But if im rebuilding the 5.8 im gonna throw lifters and cam etc. into it since itll already be torn apart.

The 5.8 or 351 had EFI in f150s from 88-96. What year OBS are you talking about?

Swpping an engine isn't an easy task. Plus smog issues, plus plus. Personally I would just fix the Ford engine it has.

Thats what im figuring, especially since i cant find a adapter for the transfer case.
