Wondering if anybody has ever removed the inner section of an obs front fender? Want to run metal fenders on my 96 bronco but I have inner tube fenders already.
Thanks

No pics, not sure if process is possible that’s why I’m asking.
Have you removed metal inner fenders?
Thanks

I have a set of fabricated inner tube fenders with aluminum panels but instead of running fiberglass I was wondering if oem fenders can be separated by removing spot welds? Want to keep factory metal bedsides /fenders on my bronco.

I cut my fenders about 4in up it does make the outer fender pretty Flimsy though may need to support it.

Yes, It can be done. It's time consuming for sure. Why not just buy a set of autofab stock width fenders and run your supports behind those?

Autofab currently has a 6 month lead time as of now but would be easier. I do like the look of factory fenders.

I bought an 89 f250 that had fiberglass and the factory outer sheet metal was cut off the fender with a cutoff wheel. Then the fiberglass was mounted to that and the factory part at the cab.

If you do some digging on the go fast bronco's forum there was a thread where a guy showed how he did exactly what you're talking about. Sorry no link for you.
