Signed up today to volunteer for the race! At this point I have no idea where we'll be working on course, but I'll be with a few Raptor buddies who have volunteered plenty times before. Sounds like we'll be making a weekend out of it. Who plans on going? I think they still need more volunteers. Let me know if you want to tag along.

You guys are tough! Last time I went to V2R it was 123! Too hot for me.

I’ve been going the last 6 years? I’ve never seen it that hot where they’ve had us working.

I’m sure it happens in some areas of the course but hopefully they put us further up the course this year in the higher elevations.

A few years ago it was like 80-85 and sprinkling at our spot. It was perfect. Kept the dust down and felt great.

I haven't been in about 15 years ha ha! I just hate summer, period. Holding a race in August is nuts. But I am sure Bureau of Land Management controls when they can race there.

Raced it in 2021, was something like 112 at the start line

I'll be there with a bunch of the DTX guys running two 8100 trucks. I'll be jamming to every pit chasing for Tequache Motorsports doing media and sweating my tits off. I already can't wait for the sun to go down.

Let us know if you wanna meet up, we are going to run some trails after the race too.
I usually run the race course back to the Walker River Resort if its super hot or the finish line if I feel like rattling my truck apart for the last 10 miles into Dayton.

BUMP. Getting closer! Gonna put down quite a few miles to get there and back home. Looks like temps will be in the low 90s with a little wind, at least where we'll be working pit in Coaldale NV.

Pulled off a 5th place in TT with the retro trophy truck. First race and way out gunned but ran a nearly flawless race with only 1 flat 20 miles from the finish.

Hell ya!
We ended up finishing 2nd and 3rd In 8000, out of 3 rigs haha. 1st place lovell In the bronco that absolutely should not have been allowed in the class, but rubbing elbows with Ford pays off I guess.
We rebuilt a rear end, broke and swapped a front shaft, cracked a tcase, smoked 2 tires, cracked and welded some steering linkage, but overall kept a great pace on both trucks. 8006 out of Texas and 8010 out of the Netherlands!
