Baja 450 mile trip

Wanted to document the trip I just did this last weekend.

3 day 450 miles through baja north.

Day 1: Tecate border. Unloaded my truck in a secured parking lot On the US side. Drove across the boarder. Got harassed a bit by local Mexican police officer. Luckily i speak the language. Jumped on dirt right outside of town and shot down to Ojos Negros for some tacos. From there we went to valle de gualupe for some sea food. Then we ended our day at horse power ranch. We did 145 miles.

Day 2: went from hp to San Tomas. We jumped on baja 1000 course there. We ran down the ocean. We ended up at San Vicente. From there we hit the cross over road to vally of t for some tacos. Then headed back to hp. We did close to 200 miles.

Day 3: from hp back up to tecate on the dirt. Good 120 mile run. Crossed the boarder with no issues at 1pm then headed home.

Looks like a memorable trip! HP ranch is pretty cool, stayed there once a few years ago.

Right after I crossed the boarder, I was making my way out of town. And just a couple lights ahead my lane was ending. I went to merge and there was a cop right next to me. I gave him the right away and he just laughed and told me to pull over. He told me my truck was illegal. No tial lights, no license plate, no blinkers and everything else. Then said I had to get it on a trailer. I told him it had everything you just mentioned. Only thing missing was bedsides. He kept insisting I get in on a trailer. I told him I have no trailer. I dorve it here. That I'm going to Ensenada to pre run the race course. He said doesn't matter get it in a trailer. I told him again there is no trailer I'm gonna be out of here in 2 days so what do you wanna do about it. He shook his head and told me to get out of town asap.

I speak Spanish and have been going to baja my entire life so I just talked to him straight up like I was talking to a friend. Nothing rood just honest and down to earth and it paid off. Didn't pay a bribe or anything. So worked out this time
