Well earlier this year found out we're having kid number 2. Fast foward a couple trades and selling off a bunch of shit, were piecing together clapped out bronco and a stock width long travel from desolate. Really trying to build something i can drive out from the house and enjoy a camping trip with the kiddos, or tow out behind the truck and scare the shit out of my wife.

Original plans was to get this guy on a stock width kit from desolate, keep the 2.5 coil overs in the front (cause who can afford those sexy IBPs?)
Bumped the rear up to 3.0x12 bypasses (if they ever come in, 9 weeks and still waiting)
Slap a 3/4 cage in the rear for future expandability
Had planned to keep the stock 8.8 and add a truss, have since replaced with a 9" ford rear end, new housing from quick performance third member etc.
Got the stock c6 rebuilt, added a shift kit.
Factory 351w is still going strong, added a set of shorty headers to it, looking to get a set of gt40 heads.
Would love to build the 351 and stroke it to a 383, but waiting on my onlyfeet page to take off
Stock beat up fenders are staying with some 35s tucked into them.
desolate bumper in the rear.
Front bumper looking to do something custom integrating a skid plate and some tubing into the front stock bumper. (would love photos if anyone has ideas)
Loving the ideas of keeping it sleeperish

definetly not on the level of alot of the builds i see on, that being said first time i've doing anything like that and stoked to get it back on all 4s.

The rear is almost ready to go back together. Thankfully a friend much more talented than me is helping with the important welding, sucks to be him though having to make the fucked up work i did with the truss look nice. Rear is ready to back togetther, need to burn the truss in. Unfortunately still on a 2+ month wait for the rear bypasses so im kind of at a stand still.20250323_093916.jpg20250323_093916.jpg20250323_093928.jpg20250323_102140.jpg20250323_110259.jpg20250406_164214.jpg20250406_171354.jpg20250406_193823.jpg20250410_204526.jpg20250410_204543.jpg20250411_151230.jpg20250411_171919.jpgthird member.jpg

haha. there were milllllllllllllions of other times where that SHOULD OF been the outcome, but it wasnt. i beat the living PISSSSSSSSSSSSSS out of that thing. took it all like a champ!
that happened when i was just going slow on the top of a ridge that i hadnt been on yet, and we just dropped a tire real slow and then............. well, you get it. haha

it's always the "easy/simple/no brainer" type shit that'll bite you in the ass at the wrong time.

Yes even a simple cage will save your life. I'm going to do a simple bare bones, save my lift cage on my F150 after this season so when I'm driving it too fast and stupid I won't die or have another brain injury since I got lucky the first time.

The ochofab 3/4 cage is likely how I'll go. Can always build forward from there
