What’s up y’all, new to the forum so figured I’d throw out a quick build thread and some basic info.
I’m from northern ca, auburn area. Fordyce local. But I wheel all over (rubicon, Barrett lake, Moonrocks, niagara rim, hammers, Nv Canyons etc)

The jalopy/party wagon:
started life as a bone stock 84 bronco 2 that I got for free. Gutted it down to a frame and shell and started from scratch.

Motor: 2000 Ford ohv 4.0, stand alone harness, flashed computer, Diablo sport tuner, GMS custom maf, bbk throttle body, JBA headers.
Trans:M5od
Cases: Borg Warner 1350/54 duals.

Front axle/suspension: Ford kingpin 60, Reid’s, Yukon chromos with CTM’s, 5.38 gears, spool, Yukon hubs, partsmike histeer arms, Ruffstuff diff cover, single ended full hydro (psc ram, hiems), tube skid armor for the ram. Artec truss and link mounts, 3 linked with panhard. 2.5x14 Fox coilovers, 150/200 springs, procomp air bumps (not installed yet)

Rear axle/suspension: Gm 14 bolt (ribbed housing), disc brakes, Ruffstuff diff cover and pinion guard, 5.38 gears, Lincoln locked. Artec mini truss and link mounts, triangulated 4 link, 2.5x14 radflo coilovers with resi’s, 150/200 springs, procomp air bumps.
Wheels/tires: 17” trail ready beadlocks wrapped in 40” toyo MT’s

Chassis/cage: frame backhalfed behind the doors, front of frame has been chopped and has full engine cage/bumper/winch plate/skid. Dove nosed. What’s left of the Frame has been plated on the outside and boxed on the inside. Sliders from fender to fender. Full internal 8 point cage. All Tubework is tied together. Lower link mounts bridged, flatbelly skid.

Other doodads: warn m8000 winch, hand throttle, 14gal rci fuel cell, optima yellow top, hand built my own wiring harness for dash and all accessories (built into factory dash trim), still has full carpet and factory seats(for now) with PRP 4 point harnesses at all 4 seats. Both doors still open and close with ease hahaha

That's a bad ass B2, I'm also from Norcal and my buddy Mike from Grass Valley wheels a red Courier on Fordyce all the time. I hit the Con about once a year in my CJ, maybe I'll get to see this beast in person one day on the trail!

I know Pennock, he’s a good friend of mine as well! Hopefully I’ll see ya out there!
Super cool build! How long have you had this beast?
I built it about 5 years ago in its first phase. Gets a new rebuild/ more chopped every year

That's awesome, he and I are going to Fallon this weekend for the Vegas to Reno race. I'm sure we'll catch up sometime then, bug him to make an account and to put his Lexus build on here, excited to that in the dirt this weekend!

It’s a “home built” design, mates a borg Warner 1350 (early model ranger/b2) t-case to a later model borg Warner 1354. I actually produce and sell kits to build them.
ohhhh that sounds interesting! post up a thread on those bad boys... Do you have a site you are selling them off of or just word of mouth ?

if i ever built an exploder, thats what i would put in my rig.

Any idea how much shorter the rear driveshaft becomes when you put that doubler in? not looking for actual driveshaft lengths as i know your B2 will be different.

What's the wheelbase on this thing? I gotta imagine this thing puts you into extreme pucker mode on big waterfalls
