my old truck i sold to a buddy 15 years ago and he did nothing really with it. he lives in the forest and the moisture is really killing it fast.
i was about 19 when i started working on this truck and now (47) have the tools, time and place to do better work on it. plus his funds....

stage 1 is back half.
i cut out the garbage and are about ready to start adding in tubes
2" x.120 HREW tube for everything
we are putting in a small job box up front in the bed
china fuel cell
some weird military coil over shocks
winch and stinger receiver in bumper

i could use some pics for guidance if you guys have any?

other wise i will do my best!

Pics of it now
im going to sizzle off the old coil spring buckets and get the dana 60 sanitary.
it has some 2000 ish super duty rear calipers and typical 70's 3/4 ton front rotors
4:56 gears with Detroit lockers
the old 3 link is been great over the years with the massive joints and poly bushings u front on the frame.

Job box mounted
4 splayed tubes coming off the frame rail ends
Rear drop down to have the fuel cell at bottom of bed sides for ground clearance
Tomorrow is going to be a good day!

Made some clam shells for the cross bar above the windshield
I dropped down the whole front A pillar and welded up all the tops.
The main hoop will likely have a 1/2" unwelded section on the far back. He does not want to cut holes for welding acess. The rust is pretty bad too

Got the columb attached again

Made an outrigger for the A pillar to get to the frame. Doubles as a rock slider front mount. 4x4" on the frame and tapers to the 2" A pillar tube. .120" thick sheet

Tig welded the box together on the bench and ran it at 150 amp. tried 125 as the internet suggest but it would barely melt.
