So we picked up this project from the BLGT forum for free. My first thought was center mount a arms or beams and big links in the rear. After some time staring at it and being more realistic for short term success we have decided to make it a running and driving rock crawler. We poured some gas down the carb and with a new battery she fired right up. The short term goal is to take this out to king of the hammers 2024 and play around with it.

What is it?
1992 toyota pickup (tacoma)
305 chevy v8
4 speed manual transission
chain drive t case
leaf sprung 8 lug dana 44 front
4 link/air shock 10.5 sterling rear

What it needs to drive under its own power?
Brake lines
Fuel cell
Radiator
Tires
lots of small finishing touches like mounting all the interior seats and accesories, weld on the steering wheel mount, charge the shocks, change fluids, front drive shaft.... IMG_6512.jpg

YEAAAA keep it SAS...

1992 is pre tacoma bud.

this is a Toyota Pickup .... tacoma became a thing in 95 - and on

Look forward to seeing this thing out at KOH!

Yes! Glad you're keeping it solid axle. Get it running and driving and enjoy it for a little while. And then link the front and throw some coilovers on and you'll have a pretty capable ultra4 style rig. Check out the ig page: carter_built he's got a sweet ultra4 rig that started life as a toyota pickup.
