He’s using the stock spindle rn so his true is goin way higher off the bat. I suggested checking what his ride height is gonna look like with the stock spindle
I think the shock needs to be mounted higher. That bump stop is able to compress a bunch more than what you have it compressed right now. So at bump all your load is gonna be in your shock mount

I would attribute it to his budget compared to the rest of the field back then. That truck was a huge leap above the rest and it wasn’t because of the radius arms haha

The secret to beams is mostly in the steering same as arms
One important point on beam geometry is the radius arms. You want them slightly angled up (frame pivot lower than beam connection) from ride height.
This helps with harshness as the wheel will travel backwards...
