33's vs 35's is the performance really that much better?

When i switched from the 37 K02's to the 37 kr2's I forgot to airdown the tires after getting them mounted, at 35 psi it literally felt like I had done zero shock tuning to the truck. trails that I drove floated through before felt like I was hitting curbs the whole time now. Was really blown...

    Random swapmeet bypasses

yea definitely keep the parts in mind! would really suck to need two different seal kits to rebuild one set of shocks xD

Notching tubing when fabricating - who/what/where/how/pics - all of that

I generally measure the longest intersecting points of the two tubes that need to be one if its an angled notch. Then I use the JD notcher to get close to that line and then use our ameribrade or flap disk to massage the fit til tight. Recently I have began using fusion to draw up ideas for...

    1.5x120 DOM ucas bending

funny enough, I never bent my old 1.5' mild steel upper arms when my truck was still a armed, but I did rip the lower pivot sleeve in half from braking forces, I thought for sure a failure would come from just plain abuse before ever taking into account the braking forces and how they are...

33's vs 35's is the performance really that much better?

Like Geoff stated, proper shock tuning will do WONDERS for a truck! now if your dragging diff at speed..... well, you need more tire xD

    Random swapmeet bypasses

another tell is to check the wiper cap and see if it has a press in or snap ring seal retention!

    Random swapmeet bypasses

piecing them together for sure wont be cheap, BUT, it will most likely be cheaper than buying a new set of race series shocks, kartek will have most everything to piece them back together in stock, I would recommend making/keeping them piggyback to keep cost down, resi hoses are crazy expensive...

King 2.5 standard coilover and king 2.5 extended travel coilover

as 4xfooroffroad stated, it is a bit more work to get a longer shock in there, even with a 10" shock your still most of the time going to be limited to a tender spring and a lower spring a 12 would be ideal in most cases but takes a bit of fab work and cutting to get them in there. another...

    FOA shock pre-use tune up.

We did some suspension tuning on a ranger out in Johnson during KOH, Customer informed us he was running FOA's and my instant answer was I'll do my best but I cant make any promises to how they will perform, I was actually surprised how WELL we were able to get the truck to work with just s...

King 2.5 standard coilover and king 2.5 extended travel coilover

we installed some f 67's on a 1st gen extra cab tacoma with a bypass in the rear, front had a bolt in coilover, secondary shock, and a bump stop on a basically stock front end. did a little bit of shock tuning and it worked surprisingly well! Theres some video of it jamming on our instagram...

Hi-Desert Motorsports Builds & Shock work

Made this sweet stock dash mount/sandwich plate for the ranger in our shop getting caged. We ended up removing the entire AC ventilation system instead of trying to notch it to retain the stock mounting points. I think we are going to design some 3d printed parts that connect to the stock AC box...

    Lifting the ranger

keep in mind, you want to keep SOME down travel when lifting your truck so it doesnt ride like 💩. if you crank it to the point your sitting at full droop its gonna feel harsh even just going over speed bumps. Like stated above if you can lift it and cut the droop stop to keep some down travel...
