I've seen on ebike specific forums that some people are getting like 20% more range(or range back?) by just servicing the shimano motors. I've got all the fancy lube and gasket maker you're supposed to use, I just need to suck it up and pull the thing and get to work to see if it's true.

I will say we bought a JB 5 bike Rack for the wife's expedition and I'm far from impressed. Materials are flimsy, the gas strut doesn't work too well, stuff arrived with the powder coating flaking off, etc. I think it's worth the extra money to spring for a north shore or velocirax
