I had a 95 f150 and when getting twisted up like that it would look crazy. Then when I got my new tundra (2005) i remember ford guys making a big deal about how much the bed would move on it. Ha
Just a thought... Since the exhaust is right there would it help at all to double panel it? Meaning the panel you put on there is on one side of the the tube... If you did a panel on the opposite side would that insulate from the heat much?
Just throwing this out there. I enjoy fab and working on vehicles. MY buddy and I did fab work early/mid 90's and had a little business type thing going. I worked my way through school. Graduated and got a job. That whole time me and my buddies enjoyed working on trucks and all that. Fast...
I get it... Your truck to do what you want with. DW asked what I would do and honestly if it were my money I would probably end up going the cheaper option to because I am a cheap ass but if I am spending your money I would go TMI or something like that ... HA.
Stock but reworked to have bolsters and a better cover would be fine but if you want an upgrade I would go with something more fitting then offroad suspension seats in a street truck... Something like some Recaro's for the front then you can get benches that match for the rear.... Had them in...
Forgot... Mother in Law would get cold while driving/Riding so I added seat warmers to the PRP's. There is a write up that I posted on the old DR with pics and info on how to but it is probably gone forever
Well... I do not have a whole lot of pics of the build but @dose Shared a few since we have come to find out he built it originally after he saw some pics I posted.
Pics from Dose:
I had my long travel Toyota and the in-laws had a simple stock vw suspension buggy. They would pack a lunch...
4x T100's have always been a favorite of mine. Good suspension (80/90's suspension), Strong steering (4x means no rack and pinion), And good motor (not the old 3.0 but the 3.4)
I'm running stock rear-end and always have... no issues. My buddy is running a tundra 8.4 with no issue also. All of us run spring under deavers. Setting up spring under vs over is a little different due to where they bottom out
His 85 (Now his sisters) is about 145lbs. The 150 was about 185lbs... But the weight also feels different on the bike. 4 Strokes always feel top heavy to me where a 2 stroke feels more bottom heavy. If that makes any sense to you.
