    First SAS 1986 4runner/22re

First thing is determine what type of suspension you want. Leaf springs are stupid simple on these trucks, since the 79-85 trucks were SFA on leafs. Trail Gear and others (Marlin used to but I think they are focusing on Tacoma's now). Buy a kit, cut everything off and hot metal glue the kit on...

    NA BEERS

Have tried one of the NA whiskeys and it tasted like sadness and disappointment. It had no "bite" like a whiskey does, tasted like flat diet Coke. It may be the one I tried, but I'm out on those. I like the Sam Adams Just the Haze, Coors Edge, and found a few local (NC) breweries that are good.

4x4 prelander / camping rig suburban

I looked hard at the 2500 burbs, mainly for the higher payload and HD running gear. But plans would be solid axle, like the WFO Concepts kit. Edit- had a 02 1500 2wd family bus. Treated us very well for almost 10 years, did very basic maintenance never needed much more, other than valve cover...

    Share Your Rides

Don't have pictures of all of them. Some notable ones though. Went through 4 rangers, all 2wd. 84, 86, 93, 2000. 86 was bracket lift, body lift, 31s and a LS in the back. Was decent for the high school mudding. Scored a samurai, cut it all to shit. No really good pictures, it was all on...

    Ranger/Explorer TTB/TIB measurements

You're not wrong. However I was hoping someone had these to see if it was viable option before jumping all in. And it's not the link arms I'm looking at, it's width between mounts of coilover mounting to ensure angles are good. I don't have an issue with angle in shocks, but they need to be...

    Ranger/Explorer TTB/TIB measurements

Looking for a few measurements for an upcoming project, and bench building it now. Looking at left to right for the coilover mounting on the engine cage (outside of a custom cage, I imagine an off the shelf engine cage, Camburg, Giant, etc would all be pretty close) and the left to right...

    Chase Truck Thread

Chase trucks make my pants a little tighter. Here's a couple I have saved on my phone, for inspiration. Planning on a tow rig/chase setup soonish, but SE trails don't lead to chase trucks well, so really would be more of a mobile basic shop truck/tow rig deal.
