Little bit of progress, got the spindle tie rod mounts drilled and sleeved for 5/8” bolts, steering rack clevis’s built and tie rods built. Clevis is a mix of 3/16” and 1/8” cromoly, tie rods are 1” .250 wall sleeved with 1.25” on the rnds

Well being back to work and having a newborn at home is making it challenging to get out to the garage. I was able to get my axle shafts extended, probably going to vibrate or brake 😂 have some ideas if that’s the case.

Small update. I got everything mocked up on the driver side, upper, lower, shock mounts, bump stops. Next up is extend axles, limit straps, mount resivors and tie rod then figure out some kind of engine cross member. And then a whole lot of welding!and in regards to my chamfered bump pads once I...

I’m am stupid enough to do this much work and still run 33’s, you already knew that though lol I did the chamfer on them because it’s so thick, and that side will be up. So once it’s welded it will flow better instead of just a sharp edge or a giant weld bead. Only took a couple minutes to do...

Small update, got the upper shock mounts figured out and was able to lean the coilover back a bit more. Every thing cycles much better now. Got the bump stop tacked up as well and made a bump stop pad out of some .190 chromoly. Been working on the passenger side only since I knew this was going...

Well got a little more time today to get some more things done. Made some lower shock tabs which will get overlays, had moved the shock to a more vertical angle working around the ac accumulator, and welded an overlay on the top of the frame for the shock mounts. After seeing that mounty71 was...

Thank you sir! I had tried to rotate it at first but didn’t try to hard, went out and looked at it again after seeing this and realized there was a couple more screws holding it that i didn’t notice. Sure enough it moved just like you said, I’ll have to move the washer fluid reservoir or build...

Started mocking up the coilover which is a pretty tight fit with the spring on. Got it to were everything cleared and cycled ok but the coilover was leaned forward pretty good which I don’t like. After talking with tree trunk and brain storming ideas I’m going to try some different things to see...

I believe they are, kind dumb considering you weld them on, but a little Sanding will fix it.

So the factory upper ball joint has a pinch bolt that holds it in, I took a 3/4” bolt cut the head off and chucked it in the lathe to turn down the end so it would be a nice tight fit. Eventually when it goes together for the final time I will use a grade eight or maybe f911, and keep this grade...

Now on to the fun part, at this point I knew something needed to be done with the suspension, rear wasn’t bad all things considered but the front needed some help. I looked on marketplace pretty frequently for an old Dixon bros kit or btf kit but that’s about like finding a needle in a haystack...
