Theres 2, ones mine https://forum.badlinesgoodtimes.com/threads/trixie-the-twin-turbo-race-truck.1853/#post-33539
and one is my brother in law's, i dont think he has a thread on that one though.
Bronco movin along
got the front end mostly assembled. Realized i need to do a lot of trimming on the pass stub shaft to get the droop. Tommy had some great suggestions about using a D50 shaft, im gonna just trim these and see if they last, otherwise ill upgrade to those.
Got my steering brace...
Still hits even with my fancy lowpro retainer. in the photos the beam still has about an inch and half of uptravel. Most of the issue is the oil fill cap. I could try to go with a different flush mount cap but at this point its looking like more hassle than its worth. Im moving on for now and...
Finally got off my ass and did the blasting and painting I needed done
Got the rear end mostly assembled, just need to double check drive shaft angle and weld the perches on. then I can paint the axle too.
Started putting together the front end as well, needed to button up some brake lines and a...
You're not wrong, but I have some grandiose vision in my head of sliding into a Pemex gas station, topping off with (maybe) 91, turning the boost down to lame, and heading to the cantina after a long day of prerunning. Call me a dreamer haha
Bronco is movin along nicely
squirt gun action getting less and less rusty. Steering Box Brace/pitman double shear/whatever you want to call it done. Just a flimsier copy of what i did on the race truck which has been working beautifully. Shock mounts and pinion angle set. Limit strap tabs on...
Word back from Moruzzi is the engine looks great internally, bearing wear was minimal and crank looks great. No signs of torching or pre-detonation. it just had cheap head gaskets in the thing. He's surprised it lasted as long as it did.
BUUUTTTT he found that the thing was set up at 11.9:1...
On F31s I seriously doubt it had anything to do with the bump stop. I have watched buddies rangers axle wrap themselves to death just trying to make it up a sandy incline hahaha
I wasnt planning on it. in my head this is no worse for springs than normal axle wrap is.
Bump doesn't fit on top of the axle without cutting into the cab, which I want to avoid like the plague. it started off as building a pad off the front of the axle down low, but then I was thinking...
Got some good stuff done this weekend.
Bumps mounted (people were real mad about bumping off the leaf spring on instagram)
bump reinforce cross member installed. gussets line up with the bottom of the bump supports. Lands right on my frame reinforcement plate too.
Fuel cell skid...
got the front suspension off for paint
Stripped the front for inner fenders and fiberglass
rattle can painted the frame (im doing it in sections as I get done with them)
Got the rear suspension hung! Ready for cycling, setting bump stops, setting pinion angle, and measuring for...
I had a modified stock f150 serpentine on my original self built engine, it was prone to throwing or breaking belts so this was the fix for the new motor (its a modified Jones Racing Products setup they run on prolite engines). Im not happy with it but it was the only option at the time. ID is...
