Ya they advertise it as 17in of travel my buddy built his bronco and his +2 kit is getting 16.5 as well bumped and strapped but using a 14in shock

So I started to mount the front 4.5 over kit and I know how to mount suspension and how to cycle and with a 12 in shock I cannot get 15in of travel metal to metal I have mounted the shock in 10 different spots! Has anyone mounted a desolate kit or solo kit and actually got the 17in they say it gets.
