Ok was double checking everything on the front end and I realized I had uca mounts welded onto the frame 3/8" too far back resulting in more caster than the kit wants. So I cut off the uca tabs, chopped front of frame off at lca mounts and cut outer factory stock bump mounts off the frame...
weld cab on bumper, melt lead and fill bumper with lead to maximize rear weight. 5' of 1.5" ID bumper would add 30 lbs, aka Secure a 98lb bag of concrete in the back if you need more weight to get ittttt
When I was setting up my last 3rd I noticed I had a couple diff pinion shims that visually didn't change the pattern on the gears. I also ran slightly tighter Backlash at .007. Been driving the truck now and it's silent, BUT i've only put like 300 miles on the rearend now
Gonna have to tell all the girls that are gonna be flocking when they see those dimples thats youre happily married with kids. Looks great.
Note: Cooler mount can be mild steel and no nuns will be harmed when this hits the road.
Gotta go with 250wt sand to get max weight in the tube. Also .250wt only adds like 2lbs/ft on that size tubing so not much weight hanging iut the back to even remotely help with the weight deavers need to work properly.
If you hang the spare off the back end more/remove tailgate the cantilever weight will help some< OR fill the spare tire with water for ultimate weight addition, but then your spare is full of water and shouldn't be driven on at high speeds because no balance/slosh
Good call on the auxbeam. I installed my 8 switch auxbeam in my F150 but I only use 3 buttons on it and need the 8 switch unit for the 3D printed piece I got for my Sequoia, i'll someday/never use.
I have an 03 LB7. The Original owner did new injectors at line 120K he said. I just had cyl 1 injector die end of last year at 185K and swapped that out.
This guy has good posts about prime day. Not automotive guy but still good deals.
I bought this laptop today...
I got a few parts that I needed for my 03 duramax but nothing special.
I do need a new laptop with number pad on the keyboard. Anyone got any link to a good one for under $400
Nice. When I built my 85 and 89 yota front end's I copied the ESB kit, but with 4x4 IFS spindles. Works good, as long as you upgrade the steering, OR add a second idler arm in the middle of the stock centerlink, which keeps everything alive.
Nice. Big bear in the summer time is awesome, way nicer weather than down in Lucerne Valley where i'm at. I also have heard Tropicali has amazing Poke too
