What about building something similar to this, it would keep a factory style body mount but also be able to tie in the cage using a polyurethane bushing.
I've got a couple of the non collapsible Sumner's that I think are a more sturdy, the collapsible ones are definitely better when you need to store them or take them to a job.
I'll be the guy that asks for the pics. What did you use for the towers to mount the coilovers. I've seen different plate versions, or you can always do a tube structure.
Have you thought about running that rear C pillar into the side of the frame. You could keep the straight vertical part where you have it to run your door bar into, but have a shallower bend on the lower part.
What's the plan for the motor swap once the 2.3 let's go. It sounds like the explorer 5.0 is the easiest to do for a V8 but a LS might be easier to make more power with.
My brother-in-law actually cut out the back wall of his garage and framed in a extension that the back of the bed would fit into. Probably 5 ft tall by 8 ft wide.
I know the pics are just for mock-up purposes. But I don't know if running a hemi for the upper/lower spindle in that orientation is going to work, the steering forces is always trying to loosen it
